Floating away

I watch as the ground starts to leave my view

Still feel there’s nothing that I could do

It’s true

Hear what I say

I’m trying to call you but you’re too far

Look up above, see I’m near the stars

There we are

To sing it out loud

Let them all know if I need a hand

Still trying to feel as though I can stand

I walk through a cloud

Hoping there’s someone who’ll look for me

I can’t be sure where I’m supposed to be

Still in this moment I’ve found

I long for my feet on the ground

To feel my sole

Wondering too far to get back home

Wish to still feel good when I’m all alone

As I’ve grown

Emptiest hole

Nothing I feel tells me I’m alive

Jumping in, not knowing where I dive

Long to strive

To sing it out loud

Trying to pull me back to the ground

Nothing to get me there, I have found

I walk through a cloud

Hope I don’t have to keep walking through

For now there’s nothing left I can do

Still in this moment I’ve found

I long for my feet on the ground

To have more time

Waiting alone feels like slowing down

Sinking in, feeling like I could drown 

Far from ground

Feeling of mine

Too many that feel like I’ll fall apart

At least let me know that I have my heart

Have from the start

To sing it out loud

I’m learning to understand how I feel

All that I’ve known I now know is real

I fall through a cloud

I can’t see two steps in front of me

Yet I know this is where I’m supposed to be

Still for this moment I’ve found

I long for my feet on the ground

But I know if I’m far from the crowd

I at least watch the world go round
