This is Alex’s debut album, and he wrote, recorded and produced the entire thing! The songs were written over many years, and explore themes of learning to express emotions, from feelings of belonging, to feelings of love, which progress throughout the album. The sounds of the songs were made to fit a general “winter” aesthetic, but the inspirations range from folk and jazz music (He Dreams of His King, I’ll Tell You Tomorrow), to classical music (June, Something I Won’t Say), to simple pop and rock (Where I Belong, What You Mean to Me, People and Things). It’s also the start of a trend for Alex's full album releases to use themes of seasons.
